Newcastle United want to sign Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu

Newcastle United have had a successful season so far with their success in he Carabao Cup.

Eddie Howe’s team ended their trophy drought this season finally and now they are fighting to qualify for the Champions League next season.

The Magpies are playing well and their latest 4-1 win against Manchester United proved that they are one of the favourites to qualify for the Champions League.

The Toon Army are now focusing on the upcoming summer transfer window with a midfielder expected to be signed if they qualify for Europe’s elite competition.

According to Caught Offside sources, Hakan Calhanoglu could be on the move this summer, with growing chances that the Turkish midfielder will leave Inter in the summer.

He is receiving strong interest from several clubs, including Saudi Arabian teams, Bayern Munich, and Premier League teams.

Among the English clubs, Newcastle United are still closely following Calhanoglu.

The Magpies recently asked for fresh updates on his situation and could consider him as a midfield option, especially if they qualify for the next Champions League.

Calhanoglu’s experience and quality would add value to Howe’s squad.

So far, there have been no official offers, and the player has not made a final decision about his future.

However, Bayern Munich, who already tried to sign him last summer, and clubs from Saudi Arabia and England seem ready to step forward.

Calhanoglu is under contract with Inter until 2027, so the Italy champions are under no pressure to sell.

Still, his recent performances have not fully convinced the club, and internal discussions about his future are ongoing.

If a big offer arrives in the coming months, Inter and Calhanoglu will evaluate it seriously. The situation remains open ahead of a key summer transfer window.

The Turkish midfielder has scored 10 goals and provided four assists for the Italian side this season.

Turkey coach Vincenzo Montella has described Calhanoglu as a ‘complete player’.

Chelsea’s Noni Madueke is another player being eyed by Howe ahead of the summer transfer window.
