Gregor Townsend makes three changes for Calcutta Cup encounter

Finn Russell passed fit to play after head injury against Ireland but Darcy Graham misses out
Gregor Townsend has made three changes to his starting Six Nations 2025 team for Scotland’s Calcutta Cup clash with England on Saturday.
Kyle Rowe comes in on the wing in place of Darcy Graham, who hasn’t been selected after clashing heads with Finn Russell against Ireland. Co-captain Russell will, however, start at fly-half.
The other changes are in the pack, where Pierre Schoeman comes in for Rory Sutherland at loosehead, and Jamie Ritchie gets the nod over Matt Fagerson at blindside flanker.
In the backs, Blair Kinghorn continues at full-back, with Duhan van der Merwe on the opposite wing to Rowe. Huw Jones and Tom Jordan resume their centre partnership, while Ben White keeps his place at scrum-half.
In the scrum, Schoeman packs down alongside hooker Dave Cherry and tighthead Zander Fagerson in the front row, ahead of locks Jonny Gray and Grant Gilchrist. In the back row, Ritchie lines up next to number 8 Jack Dempsey, and openside and co-captain Rory Darge.
Aside from Rory Sutherland and Matt Fagerson dropping to the bench, the replacements line-up is the same as it was for the Ireland match, as Townsend sticks with a 6-2 split. Expect to see Ewan Ashman, Sutherland, Will Hurd, Sam Skinner, Gregor Brown, Matt Fagerson, Jamie Dobie and Stafford McDowall at some point during the 80 minutes.
England v Scotland kicks off at 4.45pm GMT on Saturday 22 February.
