F1 celebrates historic milestone with big events and iconic new Puma clothing

The F1 World Championship has come a long way since its first race at Silverstone in 1950 and as it celebrates its 75th anniversary through this season, it is pulling out all the stops to make it something special – including the release of a very special range of Puma clothing.

The highlight so far was the triumphant F1 75 show, held at the O2 in London in February, where the sport’s 10 teams joined together for a world first that celebrated the history and launched the future liveries on a live stream watched by nearly 7.5million fans.

The anniversary was also celebrated at the Autosport International show, which honoured the most significant drivers, engineers and machines with a stunning selection of cars and an incredible display of Puma race suits from across the eras.

In July, the Festival of Speed at Goodwood will showcase over 80 significant F1 cars from its history while the ‘Champions Collection’ at Silverstone Festival in August will display title-winning cars from all 34 World Champion drivers.

The sport has also created a time capsule, in which significant memorabilia, messages and artifacts from the 2025 season will be collected and preserved, ready to be unveiled in 2050 in celebration of its centennial year.

One iconic item that may find its way into the time capsule is a piece of clothing from Puma’s radical new F1 range, which has been specially developed to help fans celebrate the historic milestone and mark 75 years of racing excellence, speed, and adrenaline.

The collection, which covers everything from a woven race suit jacket and pants to street-style hoodies and t-shirts, pays homage to the heritage of F1 and motorsport while pushing the boundaries of style with help from a modern icon.

This latest launch sees the legendary F1 logo as a central focus, showcasing just what an iconic emblem it has become. It also includes uses the famous winner’s wreath icon and graphically styled mid-century motorsport silhouettes to create a unique style.

Some of Puma’s most famous and popular shoe models get the F1 75 treatment too, with the Inhale and Suede XL both merging together the classic sneaker silhouette with F1’s unique details, most notably through a bold and eye-catching F1 logo on the heel.

Vibrant colours including azure, purple, yellow and red reflect the excitement and energy F1 delivers, sitting alongside more subdued greys and blues with metallic sheens that give a reflective modern look and would fit in perfectly at the coolest circuits on the calendar.
