Northampton Saints have confirmed that three players, including Reuben Logan, will be leaving Franklin’s Gardens when their contracts run out at the end of the season.
Scotland A international Logan, 19, who moved to Saints from Midlands Central Academy in 2023, is moving to Sale Sharks in a move that was announced by his mum telly presenter Gabby over the weekend.
His Saints debut came in a 55-5 victory over Cambridge in last season’s Premiership Rugby Cup, while his only other appearance came in the same competition against Nottingham last November.
Winger Tom Seabrook, 26, who has spent the last two seasons at Franklin’s Gardens since signing from Gloucester, is also leaving despite scoring 15 tries in 28 appearances for Saints.
RugbyPass reported in December that the former England under-20 international Seabrook, who scored a hat-trick against Munster in January, was in advanced talks about a move across the East Midlands to join Leicester Tigers.
We also revealed that the Tigers had made a move for former England under-20 loosehead Tarek Haffar, who joined Saints ahead of Exeter Chiefs when London Irish went out of business.
Haffar, 23, who has played 24 times for the Saints, has also won England A caps against Portugal and Ireland A since joining Phil Dowson’s squad.
Director of rugby Dowson, announcing their departures this summer, thanked all three players for their contributions while at the club.
“All three players have made valuable contributions across their two seasons at Saints, both during our title-winning campaign last year and also this term as well,” Dowson said.
“We thank them for all their efforts in a Black, Green and Gold jersey so far, and when the time comes in the summer for them to move on, we’ll give them a proper send-off.
“But for now, they are firmly focused on putting their best foot forward for the team to be successful again this season.”
