Ardie Savea and Arron Reed score solo stunners

By Charlie Elliott
Rugby‘s social media never fails to deliver.
Whatever the moment, people will be talking about it in great detail and sharing their opinions, for better or for worse.
After every weekend, it is interesting to take a look and see what have been the talking points that have gained the most traction.
After such a great few days of rugby, there was plenty to talk about.
From a Director of Rugby having a pitchside pint, to brilliant tries being scored, here are the best social media moments of the weekend.

Ardie Savea Try
Moana Pasifika ran out as 34-15 winners against Fijian Drua in Super Rugby Pacific, with captain and All Black Ardie Savea scoring a worldie of a try.
The flanker received the ball out wide, kicked over the last defender using the outside of his boot and chased it down before sprinting over for a very tidy finish.
He was simply showing off, as it looked like there was no space left on the pitch, but his kick was perfect and he got the bounce, so it all worked out.
Genuinely one of the most talented players out there, Savea makes rugby look easy.
Gloucester Domination
Gloucester‘s huge 79-17 win over Exeter Chiefs has had fans talking about both their brilliance, but also Exeter’s frailties.
13 tries scored for the Cherry and Whites is a record for them in the Premiership, and they are now firmly back in the conversation for the top four.
Rob Baxter has been heavily scrutinised online, with fans believing that his time is up and he should leave his Director of Rugby post if the club are to move forward.
It has been a very underwhelming season for Chiefs, who have taken a huge fall off compared to recent years.
Baxter has done plenty of good work for the club and deserves huge amounts of credit, but fans seem to think that now is the right time to part ways.

Red Roses Grand Slam
The Red Roses secured their seventh straight Six Nations, securing the Grand Slam with a 43-42 win over France at Twickenham.
One of the most dominant teams in the world at the moment, they were taken all the way by a strong France side, who can be proud of their performance against such strong opposition.
With a home World Cup on the horizon, the women’s game in England is booming following recent historic sponsorship deals in the PWR and for this Six Nations.
They will be backing themselves later this year but will face an uphill battle to secure their first World Cup since 2014.
Steve Diamond Pint
Steve Diamond often reminds us that people within rugby are just humans, and that is why he is one of the most popular and likeable figures within the sport.
The Newcastle Falcons boss is currently serving a six-match ban for calling a match official a profanity, which meant that he had to watch their game against Bath from the stands.
As the TV cameras panned to him, he was stood drinking a pint of beer in the Somerset sun, much to the delight of those watching.
Some deemed it unprofessional but given that he is not working at the moment, it seems fair enough that he was enjoying watching his team play as a spectator.
Arron Reed’s Try of the Season Contender
Sale Sharks winger Reed scored one of the best tries of the season in their 25-7 win over Saracens, which has put them right at the forefront of the top-four conversation.
He used pure pace and agility to run about 90 metres and take on multiple defenders.
Nick Tompkins and Angus Hall were turned inside out as the flying Scotsman put on the burners to gallop over and give his side a 22-0 lead at the time.
The scenes in the Salford Community Stadium were jubilant as the crowd absolutely loved it.
Harry Potter’s Kick-off Return
Harry Potter had a moment of magic (pun intended) when his Western Force side caught the Chiefs napping after the Waikato side scored a try.
Whilst the Chiefs were regrouping after scoring a try, the kickoff was taken, and Potter’s speed and momentum saw him overtake a bemused defence to cross the line.
Even the cameraman missed it, showing just how surprising it was.
Sadly for the Force, it wasn’t enough as they were well beaten by a 56-22 scoreline.
